About me
Four years of front-line public service, and later leading client relations and escalations, taught me to listen closely. Seven years of UX/UI design taught me what to do with what I hear.
Not a straight line, and that's the useful part.
A court and tribunal diploma, then a BA in Legal Studies. I learned to read dense policy and explain it in plain words.
At the City of Toronto I helped Ontario Works clients and residents with billing disputes, often at stressful moments. I saw what happens when a form or a bill makes no sense.
A UX/UI diploma at RED Academy, where I won more of the weekly poster competitions than anyone in my cohort, including a few against the teachers.
Health, fintech, market research and logistics products. Lately I also train AI on design principles and prototype AI-native apps of my own.
Support tickets, sales calls and real user sessions come before screens. At Stallion that meant talking to customer-facing teams first, then cutting 15 shipment statuses to 6.
WCAG AA on every product I've shipped, and AAA at Planned Parenthood. I teach the team the why, so it lasts after I leave.
At AgentFire I owned every client conversation and escalation for the design and dev teams. I keep clients, PMs and engineers in the loop, and I QA what ships, not just what's designed.
AI tools let me put a working prototype in front of users in days. I tested Evernear with real parents before polishing a single screen.
I bake, and I'm always taking photos to document everyday life. That habit of capturing the small moments is where Evernear and The Fold started.
I also design things just for fun: a memory journal for parents, a twice-weekly newspaper I print at home, and a game that scores how the dishwasher gets loaded.
See my side projectsI'm open to full-time and contract roles, working remotely with teams in Europe and North America.
